## What AnyBrief Does

- Records live calls on macOS.
- Captures system audio and microphone audio into separate tracks.
- Supports manual recording, calendar-based recording and local automation.
- Starts and stops recordings from CalDAV calendar events.
- Can react to the active app or all visible windows through Window Observer automation.
- Window Observer rules match app/process owner names and window titles, with a stable match before recording starts.
- Handles microphone input changes during a call, including switching to AirPods.
- Keeps the microphone timeline aligned by writing silence during gaps.
- Shows recording status, current audio sources, microphone signal and echo cancellation status.
- Produces speech transcripts and Markdown meeting summaries in Russian and English workflows.
- Supports summary providers: local Ollama, OpenAI-compatible chat completions APIs, and trusted CLI tools.
- CLI summary providers can use existing subscription-backed tools such as Codex, Claude or opencode instead of spending extra API tokens.
- Stores meeting files locally under `~/anybrief`.
- Exposes recordings, jobs, meetings, transcripts, summaries, logs and settings through a localhost HTTP API for agents and automation workflows.
